San Miguel de Allende Mex

Rememiscent of Bud’s days in San Miguel, Mexico. This is an outstanding, fine art reproduction from an original monoprint, done in 1983.

San Miguel’s most famous sight is its parish church, characterized by its pink ‘wedding cake’ towers that soar above the town. The Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel changes colors and illuminations throughout the day from the moving sun. The intricate pinnacles were designed by indigenous stonemason Zeferino Gutiérrez in the late 19th century. He reputedly based the design on a postcard of a Belgian church and instructed builders by scratching plans in the sand with a stick. The rest of the church dates from the late 17th century.

The outer dimensions are approximately 31 7/8″ wide x 44 1/8″ high. The image area is approximately 28 15/16″ wide x 43 1/16″ high. The watermark is not on the actual print.

A beautiful 100% silk chiffon scarf was created from this print. It measures 35″ x 35″ and is hand washable.

Unframed prints are wrapped in archival paper and shipped in a heavy-duty mailing tube. Authentic prints have a blind-embossed chop mark plus a unique number. All artwork has been registered and certified with the U.S. Copyright Office.
