In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Website is at your own risk. You should only access the Website within a secure environment.

We use the SSL/HTTPS protocol throughout our Website. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so that personally identifiable information is not captured/hijacked by third parties without authorization. In case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all needed steps to ensure system integrity, will contact affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed.

Look at the URL in your browser and make certain it is HTTPS and not HTTP. These letters are typically lowercase. HTTPS is HTTP with encryption. The difference between the two protocols is that HTTPS uses TLS (SSL) to encrypt normal HTTP requests and responses. As a result, HTTPS is far more secure than HTTP. A website that uses HTTP has HTTP:// in its URL, while a website that uses HTTPS has HTTPS://.

7. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (UK), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change or terminate your account at any time.

In some regions (like the EEA and UK) you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information; (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Please note, however, that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

If you are a resident in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. You can find their contact details here: edpb (European Data Protection Board).

8. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (DNT) feature or setting that you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this time there is no finalized uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice. You can read all about Do-Not-Track here.

9. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. However, there are exceptions as listed in California Civil Code §§ 1798.83(c)(1) that applies to our business, having fewer than 20 full-time or part-time employees.

10. EMBEDDED CONTENT

Pages on this Website may include embedded content, like YouTube videos, for example. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

11. YOUR DATA RIGHTS

In short: Your privacy is critically important to us. Here is a list of the laws, acts and regulations we adhere to:

  • GDPR The General Data Protection Regulation, was passed back in May 2016. In an effort to establish “digital rights” for European Union citizens, the EU gave websites two years to comply with the new set of personal data protection and privacy rules. GDPR went into effect May 25, 2018. No matter where your website business is based, the GDPR applies to any organization that collects and stores personal data on European Union users on their website.
  • The California Consumer Privacy Act is very similar to the GDPR law, providing residents living in California the right to control the data that companies collect on them.
  • The California Privacy Rights Act was developed to serve a very different purpose. When the CPRA goes into effect in January 2023, it will go beyond the CCPA to give even more protection to Californians’ private data. This includes data involving a consumer’s race, religion, sexual orientation, health data, or government ID. It will triple the fine for breaches of minors’ data and give Californians the right to request that their data be corrected.
  • US Consumer Data Privacy Laws The United States does not have a singular law that covers the privacy of all types of data. Instead, it has a mix of laws that go by acronyms like HIPAA, FCRA, FERPA, GLBA, ECPA, COPPA and VPPA.
12. AMMENDMENTS
We may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we amend this Privacy Notice, we will update this page accordingly and require you to accept the amendments in order to be permitted to continue using our services.
